So sorry to hear about your gall bladder. I have been told by friends who've had the same problem how very painful it is.
Apparently it is very common in females especially during "childbearing" years (aka fertile females.)

Have they given you any recommendations about what you can/cannot eat and drink while you wait for your surgery?
I had a blocked duct too (I turned a lovely shade of yellow [img]graemlins/hmmm.gif[/img] ), and I was scared to death to eat anything, afraid the pain would max out again. I only had water and chicken broth while I waited, and it kept the pain at bay.

Dee, for dealing with your gallbladder problems you could try checking out the ideas in this book, in the chapter on gallbladder....

Starla, I feel for you. I hope that you're feeling better today. I had tremendous tooth pain a few weeks ago and thought that I would die.
Some ideas from the above book that might help you get through the next few days (and you sound like you're doing a lot of them already)......
--Drink only distilled or spring water
--Drink pear, beet, or apple juice
--While you have pain, nausea, and/or vomiting, they suggest fasting.
--Eat a diet consisting of 75% raw foods----shredded raw beets, or fresh uncooked applesauce made in a blender or food processor. They also suggest yogurt, cottage cheese and broiled fish.
--Avoid sugar and products containing sugar, soft drinks, coffee, chocolate, refined carbohydrates, animal fat and meat, fried foods, spicy foods, margarine, commercial oils.
